Diana presents her research on flu antibodies at SFU’s Undergraduate Research Symposium

Diana, an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) recipient in the Pantophlet Lab, presented results from her exciting project on the apparent binding preference of broadly neutralizing antibody precursors to flu hemagglutinin at the remotely held 2021 SFU Undergrad Research Symposium. Diana was recently accepted into the Immunology PhD program at the University of Toronto – we wish her the best as she embarks on the next chapter in her academic career!

Ralph receives the 2021 CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Award for HIV Research

Ralph Pantophlet has won the 2021 CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Award in the Basic Science category. This recognition, awarded by the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) and the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR),  is “intended to highlight and celebrate the contributions of Canadian researchers in HIV/AIDS research in Canada and internationally”. The award was bestowed at the 30th CAHR conference in May 2021, which was held remotely due to COVID-19.
